Brenda Ratcliff, MA, CDVP, has engaged in research on the challenges that incarcerated women face for many years. She has served as a volunteer in a local county jail, teaching and facilitating Anger Management support groups to both men and women and found that the issue of interpersonal partner and family violence were frequent topics of discussion. She developed and field tested the domestic violence educational curriculum My Sisters, Inc. currently uses. She continues to research best practices for working with incarcerated survivors in the area of domestic violence. Brenda is a published author of curriculum, articles and a book on Children's Spirituality.

Don Ratcliff, Ph.D. has worked in higher education for over 30 years and is a recognized expert in the fields of qualitative research and children's spirituality. He has experience working in a state institution that housed individuals who had been convicted of crimes but had an underlying mental illness. Don is a published author of numerous books and articles as well as co-authoring curriculum with Brenda.

Betty Crane, J.D., MA, AMFT formerly practiced litigation law before deciding to pursue graduate training in Clinical Psychology. She is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and has been facilitating groups in a local county jail for sometime. Betty is passionate about her work with victimized women as well as caring for her family and volunteering at her church. She recently traveled to Uganda where she worked with individuals impacted by violence.

Kathie Hayden, MA, CDVP, is a therapist pursuing a doctorate in Psychology at Wheaton College. Kathie has vast experience working with victimized women as well as participating on research teams. She has presented professionally on ethical issues faced by domestic violence counselors. Her undergraduate training in journalism and advertising are also huge assets for our growing organization.

Betsy Gamlin, MS, RN has enjoyed an impressive career in clinical research for major pharmaceutical companies. The skill set she has developed from her years as a clinical researcher add tremendously to our leadership team. She and her husband helped establish a non-profit agency that provides assistance to victims of domestic violence and in the beginning days offered her home as a safe refuge until the agency could secure a safe house. She is active in her church and community and is enthusiastic about bringing hope and healing to incarcerated victims of family violence.
